We Started Atlee Because Families Deserve Better.
A Denver story about care, trust, and doing things the right way.
Jeff & Lori Mannel
Jeff founded Atlee Home Care in March 2022, but the story starts earlier. After more than 30 years in ministry — work that put him at the center of families navigating crisis and grief — Jeff spent three years working in hospice care. It was there he saw the gap clearly: families receiving hospice support still needed someone in the home, present and consistent, for the hours hospice couldn't cover. He built trusted relationships inside senior living facilities and with the families they served. He watched what happened when the right caregiver showed up — and what happened when they didn't. Atlee was his answer to that gap.
Lori joined Atlee in 2023 and became the voice families hear first. Her ability to ask the right questions — not just about care needs, but about the person, the family dynamics, what matters most — has become the foundation of how Atlee works. Families don't call Atlee and get a form. They get Lori.
Together, they have built Atlee on a simple belief: that the right caregiver, matched carefully to the right family, changes everything.

Why we built it differently
Registry Model
We connect families with independent caregivers. Caregivers keep more of what they earn. Families pay less than traditional agencies charge.
One Flat Rate
No tiers, no surprises. Every family pays $35/hour. You know exactly what you’re getting.
Locally Owned
We live and work in Denver. When you call Atlee, you reach the people who built it, not a call center.
“Every family that calls us is carrying something heavy. Our job isn't to sell them a service. It's to listen, understand their situation, and help them find the right person to trust in their home.”
— Jeff Mannel, Founder, Atlee Home Care
